Decades spent perfecting the formula, finally holding the elixir of life in hand.
The intent to bestow his wife with everlasting beauty and immortality.
But now he has a zombie for his bride.
This is my first time linking up with Trifecta, even though I have seen it in about a bazillion blog posts that I read. I figure there is no better time to try and jump in than a weekend challenge about zombies. Our challenge was to write 33 words that were somehow related to Zora Neale Hurston’s zombie sighting. I chose to go off of the idea of the chemical mix needed to create the phenomenon, interpreting that to mean alchemy.
If alchemy was still prominent in today’s society would you devote more time to trying to find the philosopher’s stone (turns base metals, like lead, into gold) or the elixir of life (youth and immortality)?
